We have a fairly short growing season here in southeast Michigan of about ~135 days. That is why you will see the garden in ground from April (mostly May when our last frost day is ~May 5) through September. Step through each month to see this. Most plants are in raised beds and/or Smart Pots grow bags which are located on our patio. Only the tomatos and herbs are in ground beds. All areas are sunny with the exception of the lettuce bed on the patio which is shaded by a large birch tree.
